YEREVAN.- The Armenian Emergency Situations Ministry is ready to help Russian colleagues if necessary, representative of the Russian Emergency Situation Ministry Yuri Brazhnikov said in Yerevan.

For instance, Armenia contributed to extinguishing forest fire in Russia back in 2010.

“Armenia, along with other CIS states, rendered assistance to Russia at that time. We highly appreciate considerable contribution,” said Brazhnikov.

Pointing out good relations between the Armenian and Russian Ministries, the official said they are ready to help the Armenian colleagues.

He stated a new Armenian-Russian regional center will be created to tackle humanitarian tasks the Ministries are faced with.
