The European Union (EU) will force the Armenian authorities to repay the 15 million euro tranche through destructive actions, including against Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, Lenta.ru reports.
“I have no doubt that the Brussels bureaucracy will force our Armenian friends to earn every cent of this 15 million [euro] tranche,” Russia’s top diplomat said.
Lavrov commented on attempts by the EU, including EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, to pressure the Armenian authorities to adopt an anti-Russian foreign policy, and suggested destructive actions ahead of the parliamentary elections in Armenia in June.
Also, the Russian foreign minister warned of a repeat of the "Moldovan scenario" in Armenia and predicted that the Armenian authorities will rig the voting results.
