Along with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, an invitation to participate in the “Board of Peace” was also sent to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The invitation was sent by US President Donald Trump.

Baku has accepted the invitation and conveyed to the American side its intention to become a founding state of the "Board of Peace," the Azerbaijani foreign ministry informed.

An official letter of confirmation of membership in the “Board of Peace” will be sent to the American side, and respective measures will be taken within the framework of the established procedures.

About 60 countries have received invitations to join the "Board of Peace," media report.
