According to the results of 2025, economic growth in Armenia amounted to 5.5 to 6 percent, Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan told reporters Wednesday.

He added that the final data will be known after the publicizing of the respective information by the Statistical Committee.

Hovhannisyan informed that in January-November 2025, the growth of economic activity in Armenia amounted to 8.3 percent, and inflation was close to the target indicators: at the level of 3 percent.

According to his forecasts, an improvement of 1 percentage point will be recorded in the tax/GDP ratio in Armenia, and reach 24.5 percent. In his view, this will enable to more easily approach the target of 25 percent in 2026.

The Armenian minister of finance noted that the expenditure deficit of Armenia was 1 percentage point lower than expected and will be at the level of 4.5 percent.

“This will have a positive impact on the debt indicator,” emphasized Vahe Hovhannisyan, and added that by the results of 2025, the Armenian government's debt/GDP ratio will be at the level of 48.7 percent.

“By the results of 2024, this indicator was 48 percent,” stated the Armenian minister of finance.
