YEREVAN. – Yerevan City Mayor Taron Margaryan met the newly appointed UK Ambassador in Armenia Catherine Jane Leach. The mayor has congratulated Leach on her appointment.

Taron Margaryan mentioned that even though Armenian-UK cooperation is on a high level, no partnership has been established between Yerevan and any British cities.

The Ambassador thanked for the reception and expressed interest in Yerevan’s development programs, especially in programs concerning environmental and monument protection spheres.

Taron Margaryan informed about Yerevan development programs and strategies.

“Experience exchange between Armenian and British local authorities will benefit both sides,” the Yerevan mayor said.

Ambassador Leach promised to input efforts in establishing cooperation between Yerevan and British cities.
