President Donald Trump had announced earlier that the US would withdraw from the World Health Organization (WHO), and a year later, the process was completed on Thursday.

However, the US has not paid its $260 million debt to the WHO, reports Bloomberg.

WHO funding has been completely suspended, and its employees have been withdrawn from all sectors and headquarters, the US Department of Health and Human Services said.

Also, the US has suspended its participation in all governing bodies and working groups that fund the World Health Organization.
