Our objective is to ensure the metrology norm, it does not matter to us which country's fuel is sold at this or that gas station. Armen Kotolyan, Head of Market Surveillance Inspection Body of Armenia, told this to reporters Friday.

Kotolyan assured that the batch of Azerbaijani fuel brought to Armenia fully complies with the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union and has no quality problems.

He informed that the Market Surveillance Inspection Body of Armenia had submitted a request to the country’s National Body for Standards and Metrology, which reported that samples were taken from the aforesaid Azerbaijani fuel, laboratory tests were conducted on it, and a positive conclusion was given.

“During our inspections of [Armenia’s] gas stations, we do not receive information about the country exporting the fuel being sold,” Kotolyan emphasized.
