Hybrid attacks are expected to intensify in Armenia ahead of the parliamentary elections, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated in his address Wednesday at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) session in Strasbourg, France.
And they are ready to defend themselves against them using the tools of democracy, added the Armenian FM.
According to him, the incumbent Armenian authorities have already developed the necessary immunity in that regard.
Over the past four to five years, Armenia has lived under conditions of hybrid threats, witnessed “violent” rallies, and lives in a climate of disinformation, fake news, and information manipulation, Mirzoyan noted.
According to Armenia’s top diplomat, PACE can assist Yerevan and democracy through its statements and upcoming visit to Armenia.
Together they will overcome all hybrid attacks, the Armenian foreign minister concluded.
