On January 30, the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) approved the acquisition of shares of LIGA INSURANCE by GRAWE Group (Austria) and C-Quadrat Investment Group (Austria), Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the CBA.

This transaction creates a significant opportunity for substantial advancement in the insurance sector, setting new benchmarks in corporate governance, risk management, underwriting, and claims handling, as well as establishing key prerequisites for the introduction and development of life insurance in Armenia.

“The entry of reputable international investors into the insurance market demonstrates high confidence in Armenia’s financial system, as well as the market’s maturity and prospects. At the same time, it serves as a strong signal of investment attractiveness, stimulating long-term investment growth, entrepreneurial activity, and the development of capital markets and institutional financial flows,” the CBA added.
