The employees of Prague airport arrested well-known collector who tried to take out of the country Picasso’s “Portrait of a Sitting Woman”.

The experts of the National Museum were called to the scene. According to them, this year a collector, the owner of the masterpiece, offered to sell it to Czech Republic, but the Ministry of Culture didn’t have sufficient resources for buying the portrait estimated at about $5 million.

The man is suspected of tiring to take the portrait to Switzerland and then sell it there.

The case was taken to court, ITAR-TASS reports.
