YEREVAN. – Armenian capital Yerevan City Hall deemed absurd the Azerbaijani presidential representative’s words that they could “help recreate the historical downtown” of Yerevan.
Commenting on the news to that effect, which was disseminated in the Azerbaijani press, Yerevan City Hall Information and Public Relations Department Chief Artur Gevorgyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that such absurd claims usually do not need any comments.
“We have all the necessary sketches, documents, and photographs,” Gevorgyan stressed. He added that a “help” is not needed especially from those who consider themselves to be a connoisseur of the Armenian capital, and imagine that they could have materials which the Armenian side does not possess.
As APA News Agency reported, referring to Interfax-Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani Presidential Staff representative Fuad Akhundov had said: “If in Yerevan they truly want to recreate the city’s former historical depiction, we can gladly provide pictures and sketches to the Armenian side.”
