The verdicts of the military and political leadership of Nagorno-Karabakh are very painful and heavy for me. But we must understand that the conflict has inertia which cannot be stopped by using a single lever. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia today—and regarding the former Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) leaders who are incarcerated in Azerbaijan.
"This topic is constantly in the center of our attention, and the solution is peace, this problem is insoluble in the environment of conflict. Last month, four people returned, among them, in the case of Vagif Khachatryan, I assure [you] that if there were no environment conducive to peace, he would not have returned at least now and at least would not have returned in the foreseeable future. If peace does not develop, the solution to this issue is excluded. We are already touching the line after which peace is irreversible," the Armenian premier added.
