The United States, Russia, and Ukraine are planning a new, third trilateral meeting next week, a source familiar with the respective diplomatic talks said, Politico reports.

According to the source, the American delegation expects progress towards a settlement at this meeting.

The talks could take place in Abu Dhabi, like the previous two, or in Miami, Florida, the source added.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had previously noted the possibility of a new meeting in the US. Russia has not confirmed the location or date of the new talks. The US has not officially announced them either.

The previous trilateral talks were held in Abu Dhabi on February 4-5, when Kyiv and Moscow had agreed to exchange prisoners of war in a “157-for-157” format. The participants had described this meeting as constructive, but had not released any specific results. TASS, citing a source, had reported that representatives of the three countries had discussed “economic aspects, territorial issues, and the ceasefire mechanism.”
