Reporter Bahri Ak of the Turkish Habervesaire website visited Turkey’s Kars city and surrounding regions to find out the mood of residents of the Turkish-Armenian border regions regarding the possible opening of the border.

Everyone is eagerly awaiting the opening of the border with Armenia, the Turkish journalist noted. He emphasized that locals link the improvement of their livelihood to the opening of the border with Armenia.

In Kars, residents, shopkeepers, and taxi drivers stressed that if the border is opened, there will be a tourism boom, trade will increase, and emigration from the city will stop, Ak reported.
