Deacon Grigor Mnatsakanyan called unfounded the statement by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that the purpose of convening a council of bishops abroad is to “rid Armenia of the Catholicosate.”

“It seems to me they were simply looking for a reason and came up with such speculation, but we need to think about the reason for holding the council of bishops abroad. The firm stance of His Holiness gives strength to all of us. The Patriarch said that he is ready to accept martyrdom even in prison, but he is not ready to accept the agenda of evil,” Deacon Grigor Mnatsakanyan said.
