NEW YORK. - American Brian Kuritzky has earned a fortune by climbing the stairs of New York’s highest skyscraper. Overcoming the 1,576 steps and 86 stories of the Empire State Building he has earned $100 thousand.

He has not broken a record though, his collages had promised $1,000 for every opponent that is left behind. Kuritzky was 14th among 24 participants.

The money was donated to a cancer foundation. Brian’s mother died of cancer when he was 15.

Thomas Dold was the winner the 7th year in a row.
