Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan on Friday hosted a delegation led by the Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili.

The deputy premier emphasized that the deepening of cooperation between Armenia and Georgia is considered by both sides as an important commitment, which is reflected in the current dynamics of bilateral relations, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the press service of the government of Armenia.

Highlighting the need for continued strengthening of economic cooperation in parallel with active political dialogue, the interlocutors exchanged views on bilateral trade, tourism, energy, communication and telecommunications, as well as some other important areas of cooperation. In this context, both sides stressed the need to expand and deepen existing cooperation in order to realize the unrealized potential in bilateral relations and to more effectively use the opportunities arising from it.

Tigran Khachatryan and Mariam Kvrivishvili exchanged views also on regional connectivity projects, and reflected on Armenia's Crossroads of Peace initiative and the opportunities for developing bilateral relations by way of its implementation.
