Starting from Tuesday, the US will suspend tariffs on some goods, following a Supreme Court ruling, the US Customs and Border Protection informed.

Accordingly, tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump will no longer apply and will not be levied on goods imported for consumption or removed from warehouses for consumption, starting Tuesday at 12am Eastern Time.

On February 22, the European Commission announced that the European Union does not intend to withdraw from a trade agreement with the US after the latter's Supreme Court ruled to lift the tariffs.

The European Commission is demanding clarification on the steps the US intends to take following a Supreme Court ruling that President Trump did not have the authority to impose tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. Subsequently, the US president raised global tariffs to 15 percent.
