The Indian embassy in Iran has advised its citizens to leave Iran, amid the growing risk of escalation in the Middle East and escalating tensions between Tehran and the US.

The respective statement has been posted on the official social media accounts of the Indian diplomatic mission in Iran.

Accordingly, Indian nationals in Iran have been urged to exercise maximum vigilance, follow official communications and, if possible, leave Iran using available commercial flights.
