Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze expressed hope that the European Union (EU) will not impose sanctions on Georgia’s Kulevi oil terminal, as, in his view, it does not violate the sanctions regime on Russia.

“We [i.e. Georgia] have provided the European Commission [of the EU] with complete information on Kulevi. This information confirms that the sanctions regime is not violated in Kulevi. This is reliable information that we have shared with the European Union. Based on this, we hope that Kulevi will not appear on the sanctions list,” Kobakhidze told Georgian reporters.
