Iranian ambassador to Armenia Khalil Shirgholami stated this during ceremony of awarding Armenian Iranologist Vardan Voskanyan the title of honorary member of the Iranian Academy of Persian Language and Literature on Tuesday.

According to Shirgholami, any topic related to Iran, Iranian studies, and the millennial ties between Iran and Armenia deserves the close attention of the Islamic Republic.

According to him, the Chair of Iranian Studies at Yerevan State University shines in the global academic arena. The Iranian diplomat added that this important center, where a significant academic heritage has been formed, has achieved serious achievements.
