A citizen of Armenia is detained in Moscow on suspicion of committing murder and theft, Interfax News Agency reports, referring to its source at Russia’s law enforcement.
“The police officers arrested a 36-year-old citizen of Armenia, who is unemployed. He is suspected with the murder of a Moscow woman, and the theft of a safety box full of money, and of jewelry from her apartment,” the source informed.
“A part of the stolen jewelry was confiscated from the arrestee. It was found out that the man had not worked alone, and now we are searching for his accomplice. A criminal case is launched on murder charges,” the source added.
As per the source, the 48-year-old woman was killed on Monday, and, according to preliminary data, she was suffocated with a pillow.
