In January 2026, compared to the same month of the previous year, the growth in the economic activity index in Armenia was 7.6 percent, but compared to the previous month, a 48.3 percent decline was recorded in the country, the government informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

During the observed period, compared to the previous year, the branches of Armenia’s economy grew as follows: construction—18.7 percent, industry—10.6 percent, services—7.4 percent, and trade—0.7 percent.

In January 2025, compared to the same month of the previous year, foreign trade of Armenia decreased by 12 percent. Exports dropped by 13.5 percent, and imports—by 11.2 percent.

During the observed period, inflation in the consumer market of Armenia amounted to 3.8 percent compared to the previous year.
