Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan on Wednesday met with the vice president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Gilles Carbonnier, in Geneva, Switzerland.
In the context of ensuring post-conflict reconstruction and reconciliation, the interlocutors emphasized the importance of resolving all humanitarian issues, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. In this regard, the need to address the issue of Armenians held in Azerbaijani capital Baku, as well as to ascertain the fate of missing Armenian persons and uncover cases of forcible disappearances, was noted.
Also, Deputy Foreign Minister Abisoghomonyan stressed that Armenia is committed to its adopted constructive policy and is ready to make its contribution to international humanitarian initiatives, believing that cooperation on humanitarian issues should not be politicized.
