A man was lightly injured by a blast wave in northern Israel following an Iranian missile strike and received medical treatment, Israel’s national emergency service Magen David Adom said, as reported by Deutsche Welle. Several others were treated for injuries sustained while heading to bomb shelters or after suffering panic attacks.

A state of emergency has been declared in Israel since the morning. Hospitals across the country, following instructions from the Israeli Health Ministry, have transferred critically ill patients to underground facilities or protected areas, where all complex surgeries are currently being performed.

Air raid alerts have been issued several times since the start of the day. At the time of publication, sirens were once again sounding in central Israel. In addition, a drone threat alert was declared in the Dead Sea area.
