In an interview with Israel’s Channel 12 (News 12), U.S. President Donald Trump explained the reasons behind his decision to attack Iran.
“The Iranians were close to a deal and then backed away, then they were close again and backed away — from that I understood that they didn’t really want a deal.
Yesterday I told my people: show me all the attacks the Iranians have carried out around the world over the past 25 years. I saw that every month they were doing something bad.
If we hadn’t attacked them in June, they would already have nuclear weapons.
I had a good conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu, we are on the same page.
I have many exit options from this campaign: I can drag it out or end it within days. Either way, it will take them years to recover from this attack,” Trump said.
As previously reported, the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iranian territory on February 28, resulting in destruction and casualties.
