Sirens continue to sound across southern and central Israel as Iran launches ballistic missiles toward the country, reports Times of Israel.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) published a statement saying that civilians in areas where sirens are sounding must remain in bomb shelters until further notice, as work is underway to intercept the missiles.

According to medics, there are no reports of hits on residential areas or direct damage from several volleys of Iranian ballistic missiles targeting central and southern Israel.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service reports that it is responding to reports of people who were lightly injured after falling while running to bomb shelters.

The IDF Home Front Command, meanwhile, stated that civilians in most areas where sirens sounded may now leave bomb shelters, but should still remain close to them.
