There are currently 32 Russian-flagged vessels in the combat zone in the Middle East. No incidents involving the ships have been reported, Kommersant reports, citing Russia’s Ministry of Transport.

“Using satellite communication channels, operational information and recommendations on actions under the current circumstances were conveyed to all vessels. Constant contact is maintained with the ships, and their positions are monitored automatically every hour,” the ministry’s press service said.

Israel struck Iran on the morning of February 28. US President Donald Trump also announced the start of a US military operation against Iran. Military facilities in western Iran, the residence of the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and an elementary school in the city of Minab were hit.

In response, Iran carried out missile strikes against Israel and US military bases in the region.
