Iranian state services, media, and popular apps have been hit by a wave of cyberattacks amid the US and Israeli military strikes, Reuters reported.

According to cybersecurity experts, hackers have hacked a number of Iranian news resources, as well as the religious BadeSaba app, which has more than 5 million users.

The app contained a message saying "It's time for retribution," calling on Iran's armed forces to lay down their weapons and support the civilian population.

In addition, major internet outages have been recorded in Iran. According to Kentik monitoring data, network connectivity has dropped sharply twice during the day.

Also, cyberattacks have been carried out against Iranian government services and military facilities in order to limit Tehran's ability to coordinate response actions to the airstrikes.
