NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte praised the US and Israeli military operations against Iran, noting that they undermine Tehran's ability to obtain nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles, while emphasizing that the alliance itself will not participate in the operation.
"What the US is doing together with Israel is really very important, because it is destroying and reducing Iran's potential to develop nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles," he said in an interview with German broadcaster ARD in Brussels. "There are absolutely no plans to involve NATO in this, other than individual allies doing what they can to support the actions of the US together with Israel," Rutte added.
