An explosion and fire broke out at the US embassy in Riyadh early on Tuesday, witnesses said, Reuters reports.
According to witnesses, a loud explosion was heard in the diplomatic mission, after which a fire broke out.
Black smoke was seen rising in the Saudi capital’s district where foreign embassies are located.
Any representative of the US embassy and the press service of the Saudi government have not yet responded to Reuters’ request for comment on the incident.
