The events around Iran and in the Middle East do not pose a risk to the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project. Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, told this to reporters in the NA on Tuesday.

“We [i.e. Armenia] are very sorry for the casualties that are happening, and we hope that the events will last as short as possible, because this is happening directly with our neighbor, which cannot but worry us. At the same time, we realize that this is a very big geopolitical issue, perhaps one of the biggest wars, which, thank God, has nothing to do with us, and we hope that it will not touch the interests of Armenia in any way,” Simonyan added.

Also, the speaker of the Armenian NA considers it an extremely pleasant circumstance that, against the backdrop of the war, Armenia and Azerbaijan were able to “find the outlines of peace together.”

Speaking about the challenges facing Armenia in the context of these events, the head of the Armenian parliament emphasized that Yerevan needs to stay out of all this.

“It is necessary to keep the Republic of Armenia away from any process that could put the peace process [with Azerbaijan] under attack,” Simonyan said.
