Rubio: Nearly 9,000 Americans evacuated since start of US-Israel strikes on Iran

Nearly 9,000 Americans have left the Middle East since the start of joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, CBS News reports.
Rubio noted that all American personnel were evacuated after a drone struck a parking lot near the US consulate in Dubai. According to him, about 1,600 US citizens in the region have now requested assistance.
The US and Israel have been carrying out attacks on Iran since February 28, which has led to destruction and casualties. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Seyyed Khamenei was also killed in the attacks.
In response, Iran has launched missile strikes on Israel and US military bases in the region. On Monday, the Hezbollah movement also entered the war against Israel, and the latter announced the launch of an offensive operation against the movement and entered southern Lebanon.
