White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Wednesday did not rule out a US ground operation in Iran, but noted there are no such plans at present.

"At this time it is not part of the operational plan, but I will of course never take military options off the table on behalf of the President of the United States or the Commander-in-Chief, and he is wise not to do so himself," Leavitt said at the briefing in response to a question about the possibility and objectives of a ground operation in Iran.
