There are no risks for the agreements reached with the US and Azerbaijan so far amid the military conflict in the region. Artur Hovhannisyan, secretary of the parliamentary faction of the ruling Civil Contract Party of Armenia, stated this during Friday’s press briefing in the National Assembly.

The MPs, among other questions, were asked also about the phone conversation between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan on Thursday. In addition, the reporters asked whether the situation around Iran would affect the agreements between Yerevan and Baku.

“We are following the situation, and all risks related to the situation on our border are addressed to the relevant bodies,” Hovhannisyan said.

Another lawmaker from the ruling parliamentary faction, Arman Yeghoyan, added that Armenia’s established relations with the US, Russia, and regional countries only imply a positive situation.

“All our calculations and agreements have shown that Armenia is in the best possible position in the current situation,” Yeghoyan said.
