Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, speaking at the informal meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States, expressed serious concern over the worsening security situation, including the recent military developments in the Middle East, and strongly condemned the missile attack on Turkey’s territory as well as Iranian drone attacks on Nakhchivan.
The minister also addressed the Azerbaijani-Armenian peace process, reaffirming “Azerbaijan’s commitment to normalizing relations and establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus following the Washington summit of August 8, 2025,” and emphasized the need to eliminate territorial claims against Azerbaijan that remain enshrined in Armenia’s constitution in order to achieve full normalization of relations and sustainable peace.
