Iran's Armed Forces have demanded that Azerbaijan remove Israeli military personnel from its territory, the spokesman for the Islamic Republic's Central Armed Forces Headquarters "Khatam al-Anbia" announced.

"We declare to the neighboring state of Azerbaijan, as a Muslim country, that in order to prevent the spread of instability in the region, it is necessary to expel the Zionists from its territory and not endanger the security of its own people and Iran," Iranian state broadcaster quotes him as saying.

On March 5, Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry reported that two drones launched from Iranian territory fell in the area of Nakhijevan airport. Iran's General Staff, however, denied launching drones toward Azerbaijani territory, placing responsibility for the incident on Israel.
