US Central Command (CENTCOM) posted a threat from Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth on X.

"If you kill Americans, if you threaten Americans anywhere on earth, we will hunt you down without apology or hesitation and kill you," CENTCOM quotes Hegseth as saying.

The command also published a video accompanying the threat, featuring a series of "declassified" footage of vehicles and structures being bombed and destroyed by US forces.

For context: the US and Israel have been attacking Iranian territory since February 28, causing destruction and casualties. In response, Iran has been launching missile strikes against Israel and US military bases in the region. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Seyyed Khamenei and other senior officials were killed in the US-Israeli strikes. On March 2, Hezbollah joined the war against Israel, with Israel announcing the launch of an offensive operation against the movement.
