Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian again addressed neighboring countries today, Mehr reports.

"We are brothers with neighboring countries, but any attack on Iran will be met with a response," the Iranian outlet quotes the president. Pezeshkian also stated that Tehran seeks friendly and fraternal relations with neighboring states, while warning that if any country allows its territory to be used for aggression against Iran, it will face retaliatory measures.

"Iran has never submitted to oppression and never will," he added.

Earlier, in an address to the nation, the Iranian president stated that the interim governing council had announced there would be no more attacks on neighboring countries and no missile launches, unless those countries themselves attack Iran. Pezeshkian also apologized to neighboring countries.

"We have no intention of invading other countries," he said.
