Bahrain's Interior Ministry said on Sunday that an Iranian drone attack damaged a water desalination plant as the Islamic Republic conducts an air campaign against its Gulf neighbors.

"Iranian aggression indiscriminately struck civilian infrastructure and caused material damage to a water desalination plant in a drone attack," the ministry said on X, after Tehran had earlier accused the US of striking one of its own desalination plants from a base in Bahrain.

In a separate statement, Bahrain reported that falling rocket debris injured three people and damaged a university building. "As a result of flagrant Iranian aggression, 3 people were injured and material damage was caused to a university building in the Muharraq area after rocket fragments fell," the ministry stated.

Muharraq is an island district northwest of the capital Manama.
