Swiss Defense Minister Martin Pfister stated that the US and Israel violated international law with their attacks on Iran.
"The Federal Council holds the view that the attack on Iran constitutes a violation of international law," Pfister said in an interview with SonntagsZeitung.
"In our view, this constitutes a violation of the prohibition on the use of force," he added, calling on all parties involved to cease hostilities to protect civilians.
Pfister clarified that he means all countries not observing the prohibition on the use of force, including the US and Israel. The Americans and Israel attacked Iran from the air. In doing so, they, like Iran, violated international law," the Swiss Defense Minister said.
Earlier, German Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil expressed a similar view, telling RND that he has "serious doubts that this war is legal under international law." Spain has also condemned the American and Israeli bombardment of Iran as reckless and illegal.
