The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported striking a group of Hezbollah fighters in a Christian area of southern Lebanon.

The attack occurred during Israeli offensive operations in southern Lebanon, which the IDF describes as a "forward defensive measure." According to the military, Israeli units identified a group of Hezbollah fighters entering a facility in the Christian area, after which an Israeli Air Force fighter jet was dispatched and destroyed the unit.

The Israeli military emphasized that responsibility for the incident lies with Hezbollah, noting that the presence of its fighters in a residential area is an example of using civilian infrastructure for military purposes.

The IDF also stated that Israeli forces will continue to strengthen the "forward defensive line" in southern Lebanon and conduct operations against Hezbollah units.
