Turkey has already sent Iran all necessary warnings, but Tehran continues to take "wrong steps," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, adding that Ankara's priority is to prevent the country from being drawn into the conflict.

Speaking at a press conference after a cabinet meeting, Erdogan noted that Turkey is closely monitoring the situation around the conflict in Iran and has directly conveyed its concerns to Tehran.

"The necessary warnings have been sent to Iran. Despite this, it continues to take wrong steps," the president said, according to Sabah.

He reiterated that Ankara's main goal is to prevent Turkey from being drawn into the war, while continuing to advocate for a diplomatic resolution. "As in other wars, Turkey stands on the side of justice and supports the resolution of conflicts through dialogue," Erdogan stated.

The president also highlighted Turkey's defense capabilities, emphasizing that the country is able to respond to threats directed against its security and sovereignty.
