By order of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, humanitarian aid has been sent to Iran, the “Devichya Bashnya (Maiden Tower)” Telegram account reports.

According to the source, Azerbaijan sent Iran 10 tons of flour, 6 tons of rice, 2.4 tons of sugar, more than 4 tons of drinking water, about 600 kg of tea, as well as about 2 tons of medicine and medical supplies.

The Azerbaijani defense ministry had earlier announced that on March 5, Iran had struck the Azerbaijani exclave of Nakhchivan with four drones. The Iranian side, in turn, denies its involvement in the attack.

And on March 8, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called Aliyev and announced that the drone incident in Nakhchivan had nothing to do with Iran, and promised to have the incident investigated.
