The Armenian embassy in Iran continues to work in an emergency mode, announced Ani Badalyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia.

Badalyan added that with the assistance of the Armenian embassy in Iran, a second Armenian national returned to Armenia from Iran on Monday.

As per Badalyan, the Armenian embassy in Iran receives an average of about 20-25 calls every day, mainly concerning the possibility of crossing the Armenia-Iran border. Border crossings between the two countries were carried out in a normal mode.

Due to communication restrictions, the Armenian embassy in Iran is continuously assisting in the transfer of information about Armenians in Iran to their relatives.

There is no information about whether there are any Armenian nationals among the casualties due to the developments in Iran.

Foreign citizens also continue to apply to the Armenian embassy in Iran to receive information about the possibilities of entering Armenia. They are provided with appropriate clarifications and necessary referrals.

At the same time, the Armenian embassy in Iran continues to provide necessary assistance to diplomats from a number of diplomatic missions accredited in Iran and their family members in facilitating their return to their countries through the territory of Armenia, added the spokesperson for the Armenian MFA.
