Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposals for mediation in the Middle East conflict remain on the table, his spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said, Kommersant reported.

He emphasized that Russia is ready to assist in resolving the situation to the best of its abilities.

"From the very beginning of this situation, even before the combat phase began, Putin offered various options for our mediation and good offices that could help reduce tensions. Many of these proposals remain on the table, which is essentially what the president spoke about yesterday," Peskov said during a press call.

Putin discussed this matter with Donald Trump in a phone call on March 9, during which the Russian president shared his thoughts on how the Middle East conflict could be resolved.
