The US Navy has escorted a tanker through the Strait of Hormuz in what is believed to be the first such operation since the start of US-Israeli military action against Iran.
"The US Navy successfully escorted a tanker through the Strait of Hormuz to ensure the continuity of oil supplies to global markets," US Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced.
