North Korea condemns the actions of the US and Israel against Iran and respects the right of the Iranian people to choose their own leader, the North Korean foreign ministry spokesperson said.

"We respect the rights and choice of the Iranian people to elect their supreme leader," Pyongyang's unnamed MFA spokesperson was quoted as saying by the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

The North Korean MFA spokesperson noted that interference in the internal affairs of countries "must be condemned and resisted by the whole world."

"We express serious concern over the aggressive actions of the US and Israel. The illegal military attack against Iran undermines the foundations of regional peace and threatens international stability. We strongly condemn these steps," the North Korean MFA spokesperson added.
