U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters that he does not think Israel will use nuclear weapons in the conflict with Iran.

"Israel won't do that. Israel will never do that," the president said.

Earlier, David Sacks, the White House's AI and cryptocurrency czar, had expressed concern that "we should worry about Israel potentially escalating the war by considering the use of nuclear weapons."

Trump's remarks came after he said yesterday that the U.S. and Israel are broadly aligned in their military objectives, though he acknowledged their goals may not be entirely identical.
