U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that Russian leader Vladimir Putin fears the United States but not Europe.
According to Trump, Putin is concerned about "the army I built during my first term," not NATO as a whole. "We have been protecting these countries for years through NATO, because NATO is us. You can ask Putin," he said.
"Putin fears us. He doesn't fear Europe at all. He fears the United States of America and the army that was built by me during my first term."
